Hi Harold,
Razor is still great compared to most TV out there, and I didn't have problems with things jumping back and forth... But I didn't think that the stories it jumped between were particularly effective - Cain's character needed two hours to progress herself, as I never really understood how she made such "dark" decisions so quickly. Shaw was okay, but needed more character development herself.

I'm glad you liked it, but I think it was sub par for Battlestar Galactica.

Razor was great, awesome, and did I mention awesome. YES, the story jumped back and forth, THAT WAS THE POINT, which you clearly missed. Viewers that can focus for more than 30 seconds and remember a timeline of events will have zero problems understanding "when" Razor takes place. How could you not like Shaw? She stated out as a doe-eyed newbie and turned into a Razor! That was the whole point. Shaw made the episode great and all of the other characters were flawless. BSG went down hill after Exodus II (season 3), but Razor shows that they can still make the best show on TV.

"Razor" worked for me. I thought it gave Adm. Cain an incredible backstory finally. Read my review here: http://weblogs.redeyechicago.com/showpatrol/2007/11/razor-cuts-like.html
