As you and several other people have pointed out, Empire of the Sun was accidentally omitted from the list. I would put that one at #3, just above The Prestige. As for Christopher's suggestions, I'll be honest, I haven't seen any of those four films. While I would like to see Bale's version of Jesus, Mary, Mother of Jesus doesn't look all that great to me. Velvet Goldmine and Metroland are potentials - it doesn't look like he had a very big part in Henry V??? As for Newsies, I didn't say it was a stellar film, but it is one of those films I loved as a kid and I continue to enjoy to this day, so I stand by my ranking! :o) A bunch of us watched it in college a few years back and still liked it a lot.
