In regards to the 40's and the 50's, that had nothing to do with Cool Hand Luke; but I'd say the first big wave of classics came from those decades, and not so much earlier.</description>

		<description>OK, I read your review back when it was first posted. Thank the gods of HD/DVR I recently revisited the forementioned film.
You were very honest by stating immediately-"I am young, by cinematic standards". Therefore I almost forgive you. Where in the hell did you go back to "the 40's and 50's"? Paul Newman was able to bring his take of "1960's" desperado to the screen in a way that only resembles Brandos 40's/50's delinquent. Yeah, it may be boring by todays short attention span standards, but it was and still remains a truly exciting cinematic experience.
