MC Burton, you have some very good points, and I agree with several of them, but had they just made a Star Trek movie for the fans, the franchise would be dead; what it is, is a perfectly good blockbuster – I agree, a little dumbed down, but that’s nothing that can’t be resolved with future iterations.

Sorry you hated it so much, that’s a bummer.

I have been a Star Trek fan for over 30 years. This movie left me wishing I hadn’t wasted my time. It lacks personality, it copied many scenes from other Star Trek movies. It did not leave me deep in thought as the other Star Trek movies do. It was extremly disapointing. For those of you who enjoy the special affects I can say that was only half as good as I expected. I found the movie shallow and with out personality. Even Lenord Nemoy lacked his usual self. I give it a huge thumbs down. I would consider it a B flick at best.

Yes, that’s the trailer I’m reviewing. It’s growing on me, and I must say the movie looks pretty bad ass. The opening sequence with the kid still hasn’t won me over, though.
