Rumors had all but confirmed this already, but this is the surest sign so far.

Arnold will also cameo in The Expendables, the Sylvestor Stallone-directed movie that also involves Crews.

I don’t care about that movie as much, but let me say this: Terminator Salvation looks badass. Absolutely badass. From the previews, it makes Transformers look like a walk in the park. I just watched the latest preview again during my viewing of the Rescue Me season premiere… I could watch it a dozen more times. The music is pitch perfect. The movie itself looks depressing: just the way I like ‘em.

As Kirk would say, I will never forgive McG for the making of Charlie’s Angels 2. At least, I haven’t yet.

Charlie’s Angels 2 was one of the worst movies ever made, highlighted by horrid special effects and painful direction. Complemented by the fact that I am repulsed by anyone who would go by the singular “McG,” I immediately put him on my Hate List along with Stephen Sommers, Uwe Boll and a few others.

Of course, when you look at his credits, Charlie’s Angels 2 is his only true, unmitigated disaster. The first Charlie’s Angels, while in hindsight not that great, was pretty entertaining, and his only other major directorial piece is We Are Marshall, which wasn’t half bad.

So, in other words, I have scorned McG for one failure. For years, he has been at a 33% failure rate, but with the upcoming Terminator: Salvation, he has the chance to drop to 25%. The movie, so far, looks absolutely kick-ass. Starring Christian Bale, Terminator: Salvation drops the protect-John-Conner story in favor of all-out war with the machines, as it’s set in the future and focuses on the post-apocalyptic future. The visuals look amazing, as does the movie, and this is one of my most anticipated movies of the year.

Christian Bale does growl like he did in The Dark Knight, but I can get past that.

You can watch the Terminator: Salvation movie trailer here, and then let me know what you think!

Sony Pictures has released a new, animated movie poster thanks to that fascinating technology called Adobe Flash. It’s a neat concept and worth checking out, but I hope this doesn’t become common place in movie marketing. We already are forced to plow through slow-loading, hard-to-navigation websites, and an animated Flash poster is nothing more than a teaser webpage in the shape of a movie poster.

Still, click on the image below to check out the animated Terminator Salvation movie poster:
